About Playmate® Play Area Wood Chips®When you do a good job the word gets out. The reputation of Playmate® Play Area Wood Chips® as a "top of the line", loose fill, playground safety surface product is growing rapidly. For ten years our product was only available through a major playground equipment representative out of Marshalltown, IA. Then, in 2005 we broke ties and adopted the Sell Direct to the Consumer business model. By becoming more price competitive our market share began to rise immediately. We've never looked back and our market share continues to grow. Playmate® Play Area Wood Chips® are now used on playgrounds in hundreds if cities and towns across Iowa and beyond. In early 2008 Ever-Green completed the lengthy process of acquiring federal trademarks on all four parts of the Playmate® logo. To date, virtually all of our Playmate® Play Area Wood Chips® have been sold in bulk by the cubic yard. This is as it should be since most municipal and corporate playgrounds are of large scale and often require truck loads of product to meet CPSC guidelines or the customer's requirements. At Ever-Green we recognize that homeowners across the midwest would appreciate the opportunity to purchase smaller quantities of our Playmate® Play Area Wood Chips® . We have had some preliminary discussions about offering Playmate® Play Area Wood Chips® in convenient 3 cubic foot bags at well known, mass merchandise stores.
